Free "Spring Springing" Cross Stitch Chart!

free merryneedle merry needle cross stitch chart easter spring

free cross stitch chart bunnies spring easter

Here is a little free chart (see link below with color charts, symbol charts, and key) with two versions based on both my Jumping for Joy design and a good friend's primitive bunnies (used with permission) that she stitched long ago. I hope you will enjoy stitching it, if cross stitching be your hobby! It is easy enough for a beginner to stitch, too, for those who may be interested in taking up cross stitching. I am unhappy with the date, as I noticed it is off-center. "Free, and worth every penny," as we say. I flipped the top flower motif for an alternate version. The alternate version just has the color stitches shown, not a symbol chart also. I have run out of time because Spring Break is over for our school, so it's early bed and back to work tomorrow. Out of time to play, BOO!

Use this LINK <--- so that you get the PDF of this chart. It's stored on Google Drive and that is as safe as things get on the internet!

I hope you all have a great Monday and a great Holy Week. We had a fantastic Palm Sunday Mass, very moving. Our priest, several of the Knights of the Altar (altar boys and girls), and deacons put on a spoken-word play. Our priest has a really great voice.

I did something naughty today. I snuck into a closed park to take photos of the crabapple blooming there. This is an open-air park few visit that has been closed for over a year, due to "COVID." The lure of the spring blooms was too much. I had to miss them last year. Even if a person lives to be 100, that's just 100 times to see crabapple blossoms. This photo shows the old and the new: Last year's shriveled crabapples, and this year's promise.

Kind regards,

  1. Now why would they close an open air park? Isn't it nice to be outside? Great pictures

    1. It is so strange. The soccer fields and playgrounds are open! But the botanical parks, closed!

  2. It was worth the chance of going to jail haha. I don't think I've ever seen one and this one is just gorgeous. I too wonder why they would close and open Air Park but I guess they had their reasons. None of our Park closed but then nobody ever goes to them anyway. I would be afraid to try to remove the brown spots from my face for fear of what would make it worse

    1. I love crabapples so much! I wish I had snuck in before Christmas and got the little apples. No, don't try my method of liver-spot removal! I scared myself!

  3. Thank you very much for your visits and kind words. I used to do a lot of different hand work, but at my age, sight does not allow it.

    1. I am so sorry that your vision is limiting your crafting. I find I am drawn to broken-tile mosaics now, because the pieces are big enough for me to see. At some point, I am scared I will have to stop cross stitching but "que sera, sera" whatever will be, will be, as the song goes!

  4. "They" closed an open-air park, because of China/Covid?!?!?!?

What a ridiculous thing to do!!!!!!!

Open-Air!!!! If *IT* can 'get us,' in the open-air, what chance does human kind have???????

Good for you! Go in and take as many photos as you want.

Governments should not be allowed to get away with, stupid rules, in the name of *Saving Us*! Which is another way of saying, *Keeping Us Subservient*!

    1. Ha ha, I was so scared that I just crept around. I really wanted to take a few seeds I saw on the ground but...it could be used as "EVIDENCE" of my sneaky ways!

  6. I too like crabapple blossoms. At the same time I am glad the park is being careful too the extreme. Common sense is what is called for in these times.

  7. A closed outdoor park is just WRONG! Thanks for sneaking in and getting such a beautiful picture.
Thanks also for the little pattern ;-)

  8. Oh those lovely crab apple blossoms!! I would have snuck into that park too. If caught I'd play my "old lady" card. You know, where one looks all pathetic.

  9. Cross stitch is the only stitch I know how to do and I really enjoy it. Wonder why the park is closed. When being outdoors is the best thing these days. Pretty flowers though.

  11. Well, thank you kindly for risking your freedom by trespassing... It is time like these that foreign languages come in handy. You just look at the other party confused and say you don't understand and don't speak English in the language of your choosing LOL. It has saved me several times. ;-) The blooms were definitely worthy of your bravery....they are lovely. Go figure - an outdoor park closed but I suspect all the big box stores in your area are open. SMH ~Robin~ (Thanks for the sweet little patterns!)

  12. Beautiful blossom, I did smile at your naughtiness to get a photo. Seems like a silly rule when it is open air but what do we know????
